Accessible on foot or by car from the village of Le Perier via a small forest road, the Confolens waterfall is located at the gateway to the Ecrins National Park, at an altitude of 1133m.

Above the village of Le Perier, the waterfall gushes out of a rocky gully and plunges 75m towards other torrents, in a green setting and an imposing site.

From the waterfall, you can reach the village of Confolens le Haut and then the Selle hut.
