Fishing in the Lauvitel Lake

Fishing at Lake Lauvitel

As Lac Lauvitel is located in a French national park, it is subject to strict rules designed to preserve its natural beauty and biodiversity.

If you wish to fish in Lac Lauvitel, you will need to obtain an Isère fishing permit and a special fishing card for this particular lake.

Fishing season opens when the lake's ice melts, generally between 15 April and 15

May, and closes on the same dates as fishing in the first category in Isère.

To make it easier to obtain permits, they are available for sale at a number of locations, including the Hôtel Oberland in Bourg d'Oisans, the Bar La Marmotte in La Danchère (Venosc), and the Bureau de Tabac l'Igloo in Les 2 Alpes.

It's also essential to bear in mind good practice in the mountains to preserve this unique environment.

These best practices can be consulted and downloaded to ensure you enjoy your fishing experience while respecting nature.

The opening dates for fishing at Lake Lauvitel in 2024 are from 20 April to 20 October.

For those who want to try their hand at fishing, the licence fees are as follows: €12 for a day licence and €30 for a season licence.

It is important to note that these prices are in addition to the cost of the Isère Federation fishing card.

So, in the spectacular setting of the Ecrins National Park, fishing at Lac Lauvitel promises an unforgettable experience for fishing enthusiasts in search of tranquillity and unspoilt nature.
